Asbestos, Mold, and Lead Management

Our goal is to create a healthy and safe environment for our client. The presence of asbestos, mold, or lead at a site can pose serious concerns. We assist our clients in determining the level of contamination at a site, if any, and how to properly remediate it.

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral fiber found in rock and soil. Due to its strength and resistance to heat, asbestos has been used for various building construction materials and manufactured goods, such as attic and wall insulation, vinyl floor tiles, roofing shingles, and textured paints. When asbestos-containing material deteriorates or is disturbed during activities such as demolition, building maintenance, or renovation, asbestos fibers may be released into the air. Exposure to asbestos can cause negative health effects, such as lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis.

Mold growth often occurs when excessive moisture accumulates in buildings or on building materials. Exposure to mold can cause health concerns such as allergic reactions or asthma attacks. Mold also destroys the materials on which it grows. To protect a building, any existing indoor mold should be remediated, and actions must be taken to prevent future mold growth.

Lead is naturally occurring and can be found in water, soil, and air. Lead has been used in various products, including paint, batteries, ceramics, plumbing materials, and gasoline. Exposure to lead is primarily through ingesting food or water containing lead or inhaling lead dust from lead-based paint. Lead can cause serious neurological and physical health effects.

We perform inspections to test for the presence of asbestos, mold, or lead, and based on the results, we manage abatement when necessary. Throughout the project, we communicate with our client discussing progress and results, as well as submitting comprehensive, detailed reports for each step of the remediation process.
